I realized last night

By wanderingpoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I realized last night the pain I must cause Being like I am Needing what I do… I realized last night the loss I feel Knowing you are gone Simply need to walk through that door I realized last night my love for you How I wish I could hold you to me Through distance and space I realized last night how much we have been through The darkness around us holds us in Preparing us for yet another round of war I realized the monster I have become The fears inside of me bringing forth in life Memories imitated and executed from horror’s first life I realized last night... Many things… That I need you… That you bring me peace… That lying in your arms I am finally happy… And yet in lying in your arms… You are sad… Tears reached my head… We both suffer so much… And yet for what?
