I witnessed

I witnessed… Upon a dreary day Long ago within the pavements A duel of dismay… Two women, Same and yet condemned Standing side by side Face to face, winds racing down onto them… They stared at each other Glaring at the other on that shelf… Awaiting the other First to move against herself I didn’t see who struck first Lady in black, nor Woman in White Though faster did the blows impact Along those darkened cold sights… Black tunics ravaged around white dresses As powerful pricks scoured their faces Talons teeth and dull edges Brought about wicked desired laments The fight ravaged on White woman valiant while Lady did attack Holding down, pinned to once safe soil Only to be fought back with pins and jack I watched this from afar, you understand I could not rush to see To witness these two from standing so far Could it mirror a fight within of thee? The fight ravaged on The white striking back with hordes feared The black impaling with sabers of pain And somewhere in the middle, a cry appeared Both fell to the granite Bloodied and Surprised Gazing at each other With fury in their eyes Jumping to their feet They continued their plight Fighting far and wide Into seemingly endless nights When the dust settled When the pavement dried All I could hear Was a single Child’s Cry…Just a warning, This is not about two people...
