In the shadow of Olympus.

I once found true sight, In the absence of the light. I once found joy, In the cunning and the coy. I once found glory, My mind ablaze in the story. I once found adventure, In the grasp of the Minator, The stories ran vivid in my world, The grains rushing past on the fields of Marathon. The words ran fluently through my lips, Like the golden grasp of Minos's greed. But now my world has turned stone, I have peered upon Medusa once to many times. The deep melancholy whispers wrack my eyes, As my legs become anchored to the sand beneath me. The disappear as my words left me, Oh, Muse, why have you abandoned me? Yet In the Darkness I have peered In the depths I have found my inspiration. But I guess something happened on the way to the light I did not trust myself to believe in promised words Looking back briefly into the darkness. But she was grasped back by the demons of hell itself And orpheous Lost his wife And Orpheous lost his life. Written March 3rd, 2002 © on Mar 02 2002 03:12 PM PST   0 • 10
