It's Sad Now...

By wanderingpoet

It’s sad now… To see our downfall.. To see our fall from grace… To see what we have become… It’s sad now Nary a word said of joy… Nary a syllable uttered in enrapture… Nary a note sung in longing… It’s sad now Not much time spent now… Not much thought exchanged… Not much emotions followed through… It’s sad now… From the waiting to the caring… From the caring to the emptiness… From the emptiness to the cold… It’s sad now… Escaping each other in our snow covered furnaces Hiding in holy sin and acidic waters Running with no waiting arms, too far removed… It’s sad now… To believe words said in horror To trust words uttered in honor… To see it change to ice… It’s sad now… Long ago awaiting each other eagerly Now plotting how to escape Alone and forgotten to each other… It’s sad now… We were once of an undying flame… Now only travelers who past under day light’s mystery For a single moment… Then off… Lonely… Written April 7th, 2002 © on Apr 06 2002 05:01 PM PST   0 • 1
