Why does it Feel?

By wanderingpoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Why does it feel like my heart is empty? That a piece has been suddenly flown away Far into the distance and is now held by another? Why does it feel like sleeping here in comfort is not enough? That there is an intricate part of myself gone to the wind? Why is it I lay here over the minutes and heart-wrenching seconds? Subconsciously praying for a phone to ring? Why is it I sit at this computer now? Instead of resting after long days’ labors? Why does it feel like a piece of myself is missing? Because You Are Not Here… Written April 13th, 2002 © on Apr 12 2002 07:39 PM PST   18 • 0 • 8
