Grandma's rose
By wtk82
wondering within a field of daisies. Lying in the flowers, a place of no explanations. Resting gently, in the garden of eternity. There she stoops, the angel of Serenity. The warmth felt between her feet Engraved into the dirt of the ground beneath. There we stand exchanging tears. Embracing in this moment, from my heart to hers. Reaching down to the endless meadows. There she stops to speak, “from me, a grandma’s rose.” “A gift from my heart for the one you love.” “Tell her it was grown by an angel above.” There we stand exchanging goodbyes. Embracing in one last moment, before I open my eyes. Wondering within a field of trees. Lying in their shadows, a place of peace. Resting gently, in the garden of eternity. There she appears, earth’s angel of serenity. The warmth felt between our souls Engraved into my vessel, my heart overflows. Reaching out to her radiant glow. There I stop to speak, “from me, my grandma’s rose.” “A gift from my heart for the one I love.” “Grandma says it is from the gardens above.” There we stand exchanging tears. Embracing in this moment, from my heart to yours. Written November 15th, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 05:45 AM PST 18 • 0 • 8
