Moments like this
By wtk82
It's raining and cold inside. I get lost in the clouds. There I stand above your grave, Today is the day, here’s my goodbye. There he walks along the road, a poor old man, with no place to go. I wanted to stop, but had to get home, I didn’t even try to say hello. and it’s moments like this I can live without. and it’s moments like this I don’t need in my life. I wake up to see the sun rise, there beside you as your body comes alive. I hear your first yawn, it’s a reminder, To turn over and see you smiling. I wake up to see the curtains sway, there beside you as your eyes find their way. See the first light as it travels through the air. So I turn to watch as it paints your hair. and it’s moments like this I can’t live without. and it’s moments like this I need in my life. Tonight I dreamed my grandpa was still alive, there beside him as we talked all night, His voice echoed to the sound of the wind, I awoke alone, wanting to hear him again. Tonight I dreamed about starting a family. There beside her, stood all of my children. Still in bed, I’m awakened by laughter, kids running in, just wanting their daddy. and it’s moments like this I can’t live without. and it’s moments like this I need in my life.
