And The Answer Is Silence
By Abyssia
When words come so hard, How do I explain? You ask me what I feel - Most the time I don't know. You say I'm distant... It's possible I guess. When a look comes so easily, Why complicate things With binding words that I'm not sure I mean? At least not the way you take them.... When emotions run so deep, Why trivialize them With idle conversation, Or jest for the sake of dignity? True devotion knows no prestige anyway. When life is so short, Why dwell on shortcomings That don't define the person, But rather, illuminate what's really there? I am human you know.... And when love comes so hard, Why must you insist on a perfection That even you could never acquire? Maybe I will never live up to your ideal.... But then again, who could?
