You say with bated breath Your eyes shine only for me. Would they though, Shine so bright If they saw what I see? Starlight, star bright On all the stars I see tonight I wish I could In God's own sight Shed your blood to make it right. As those dark eyes drink me in Unknowing of my would-be sin You tell me now, face set in stone That your heart beats for me alone. I wonder now as you draw near Despite contempt and shedded tear If through your chest My claws should rip And in them beating flesh I grip Would it still beat for me? Your eyes no longer in my view I feel your weight come crashing through Cries of outrage are denied You said you loved me I say you lied. The moon above weeps for my pain The sky is falling... No that's just rain. Fuck those stars that still shine bright, Like taunting children in the night. (Nah nah nah nah nah nah) One unclean hand runs through my hair To comfort me... As if you care.
