The Curse
By Abyssia
Come inside My self-made cage; Hold it dear, As it is not your own. Tame your urge To abuse it, I beg - My special curse That lives within us all. Casual in essence, Potent in force, The hassling burden That strips away our will, And closes the solid metal doors Behind which true freedom lies With a harsh slam. To own it Cannot be realized, As hidden obscure From the eye of consciousness, We are owned By our varied blessings; Made prisoner By the will of our hearts. I welcome you Into my world of restraints. A strange, yet Welcome vacation From your own inadequecies. Make yourself at home In this cell of My moral's making; Find a part of me That benefits your cause And tuck it away To remember me by - Confined it holds no use... To me anyway. For embracing the curse That binds my thoughts Has shaped my life ...and now it makes me whole.Changed the structure a bit.... (thanks for the tip Joe) I think it flows much better now :) Written September 20th, 2001 © on Sep 19 2001 05:26 PM PST 18 • 0 • 1
