Behold the Children of Tomorrow standing at it's door scoffing at the yesterdays that brought them where they are mocking those who fought to free this world where they now dwell they can right what was done wrong make heaven out of hell they can do it better better than before blinded by their egos hastened by their lust thier feet high off the floor no reason to share trust they never stop to think about all those who've tried and fell ~ the Children of the Yesteryears who stood at this same door at the entrance to "their" futures with great dreams to do much more till they were staggered by the slamming of the many doors to come and forced to change directions dissillusioned, old, and numb hoping now in one last effort to guide younger souls away from the same paths where they stumbled sneering faces turn away one more final door now slamming on each wrinkled...dreamless face ~ as the Children of Tomorrow pay no heed to past mistakes moving on without its wisdoms as together they embrace the valiant struggle to do better that is ended with disgrace becoming those despised when younger hopefuls take their place as the Children of the Future with new goals begin their race it's an endless vicious cycle generations lost in space. ___________________________________Artis Written March 11th, 2002 © on Mar 11 2002 10:42 AM PST   0 • 1
