After A Spring Rain

By Blushfulmoon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Alone, I sit in the quiet woods, After a spring rain And suddenly the sun's rays Break through In silent stillness, I watch a glistening raindrop Roll off a shiny leaf And hit the wet leaves Still untouched, By last winter, Jack-in-the-pulpits, Rise majestically, To life, And fern's fronds bounce back to life, I smell the fresh earth, After a spring rain, And i wonder why, It can't be like this all the time Written December 9th, 2001 © on Dec 09 2001 09:27 AM PST, Susan Vessels   18 • 0 • 12
