The Shimmering Spiderweb

By Blushfulmoon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Oh how diligently the spider has spun it's web, In the corner of a post To catch, An empheral dewdrop, diaphanous, glistening light it shines, it shimmer's completely caught unaware, In the beauty of all it's splendor A tiny black spider, With a dot of red on it's back, Weaves furiously, back and forth Unaware that someone is watching, As he criss-crosses his web Within thi drop of dew, Raindrop hues reflect off each other, As the web of silk dances Decorating the world with beauty The beauty of nature The beauty of life, Made possible by the intricate web of the spider Written December 11th, 2001 © on Dec 11 2001 11:21 AM PST, Susan Vessels   18 • 0 • 10
