Celebrate Spring

By Blushfulmoon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The many colored daffodils Open their blooms and stretch toward the sun, Winter ice breaks And sleepy creeks and rivers again start to run, On a clear day you can see the bumblebee's buzz, Spiderwebs everywhere soon will be spun Robins fly and chrip, "It's Spring" "It's Spring" The old brown fields turn from brown To a wonderful emerald green Flowers bloom bright reds, violet, blues, And every color in between Filling every field, yard and garden, With endless scenes so serene Bluebirds perched on picket fences Chirping, "It's spring" "Its spring" The sleeping earth comes alive You can't resist the magical pull Throw off the warm blankets on the bed Store away those sweaters of wool Breathe in the spring air, Until you are overfilled with joy Then join in with the robins and bluebirds and sing, "Its Spring' "Now it's Spring" Written March 17th, 2002 © on Mar 17 2002 09:27 AM PST, Susan Vessels   0 • 12
