In The Attic

By Blushfulmoon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

While cleaning out the attic Of an old abandoned home A old chest was found In the corner all alone, As i wiped off the dust and cobwebs I lifted up the squeaking lid Underneath lace, and tattered clothes, Old love letters were neatly hid Words of love had been written And told of love that was lost, They needed back together No matter what the cost Letters spoke of stolen moments Sharing memories that were  wrong, For they to one another Did not belong Just an old yellow stack of letters Were all that remained, Hidden in the old chest Lost lover's without a name Written March 26th, 2002 © on Mar 25 2002 06:11 PM PST, Susan Vessels   0 • 8
