Silence
By Blushfulmoon
A light glows in the window, hig above the echoing traffic Evening breezes come through the windows, Rushing past the yards of lace, There she sits alone, softly smiling While her memory fades, A little dog nestled in her plump lap, A twinkle from her deep blue eye's Wrinkled fingers sweep shades of grey Whispering words of sad sighs Her little friend id off to sleep And yaps goodnight along the way, But no other soul ever passes by Not for one minute in the day All the while she glances past The tree's to passerbys As she hangs her head and cries Maybe tomorrow someone will take notice Look up and wave hello, Put a smile back on her face, And faith back in her soul Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 19 2002 05:55 PM PST, Susan Vessels 0 • 1
