Tis But A Rose I Am

By Blushfulmoon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

From a root i grew as a rose Soaking up the rain and sun At night as i dozed under the watchful eye's of moonflowers Come morning The dew dripped off my petals Falling in creeping thyme I bloomed blossomed, and opened myself up to you As my blooms fell off, my dried petals linger With intoxicating smells on you clothes and linen's From the center of my bud itself i give you oil, That softens the skin and delightfully Perfumes your bath For i am a rose Fragrant with love Written January 23rd, 2002 © on Jan 22 2002 04:52 PM PST, Susan Vessels   0 • 12
