Majestic: Iceberg

Majestic floating mountain Amputated from your glacial home And set on a journey Propelled by ancient current of ocean You are but a fragment Of history’s times frozen And bound in ice; Eons fractured in your Frigid blue fissures,  upthrust In steep virginal cleavage Mammoth;  snow adorned. Hidden below in clandestine chasms Lie veiled caverns exultant In glistening illumined lines Revealed beneath the ocean’s cloak By sunlight’s piercing lance Concealing a heart titanic Yet  unbeheld by human eyes Till chance rendezvous--- This magnificent spectacle of nature’s creation. I witness communion Of God with his earth In awed obeisance. Bonnie Cook 18-Apr-02~~inspired by a photo shot of a huge iceberg broken free from Antarctica, now floating in the ocean~~  NOTE: photo was sent to me by paas3 (pjs), to whom i am grateful for this loveliness...i only reproduced it as a background.  thanks, pjs! :) Written April 18th, 2002 © on Apr 18 2002 10:31 AM PST    0 • 12 • 9
