The Calling

By bonnie blue

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Come to the table Eat, and be filled Drink, slake your thirst This is the table Of humanity’s last supper Our last chance ~the last resort~ On the highway of life. No reservations are needed Only come, come now. Many are gathered here There is plenty for all An abundance of food Wine flows for all Come, hurry now… This is our destiny, Now is the time. The message is clear You must hear it We must not be late. There be music Song and dance for the soul There be poetry To fill the heart with love There is wonder and awe To keep us childlike in spirit There be magic and stories For we must not forget miracles. Come now…it grows late. This is our last chance. Blessed be. Bonnie Cook 21-Apr-02 Written April 21st, 2002 © on Apr 21 2002 08:59 AM PST    0 • 12
