A Morning Unexpected

By Brad Kelly

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

One morning,                blissful as soft, dewy grass,                I arise to realize                everything lost,                 no memory haunts,                no attachment grinds                the blur finally clears                and the indulgent world                appears as it truly is.                All my mind's tricks have                lost their hold,                My name and face forgotten                , my suffering drown in illuminating amnesia.
