Hope for the Future

By Brad Kelly

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Somewhere, underneath this floor reflecting fluorescent light and echoing hollow the synchronized footfalls of 6 billion victims, is something different. Somewhere, outside of these four solid walls pushing in on the contents of the thinking man's skull squeezing him tight like priceless fruit for one drop of homogenous production to be thrown in the mix Is something honest. Somewhere, withing the infinite galaxy of some as yet unborn knower of all truth and love. Inside their timeless, pathetically human skull is the answer to everyone's question Somewhere there is freedom. Written August 24th, 2001 © on Aug 24 2001 01:18 PM PST   0 • 12
