Everyone gathered in the lobby                waits iridescently glancing                at out of synch timepieces              Bending to manufactured will,              Feeding a disease their parents helped create.              Adorned in velvet, and velcro.              One man speaks to another:              'If I knew then what I know now'              and searches furtively for              Russian spies,              Alligators in the sewer.              'I'd still be too scared to                 do anything.'
