Gamblin' Throw your money on the table and roll the dice Holler until your face is blue Lady Luck might be nice Wait for cards to fill a straight look at poker faces Don't count your money, no not now look instead for aces Into a machine, feed your coins and wait for bars If they line up, you'll get a win dream now of new cars Watch while the big wheel spins and spins let the ball drop Red, black, odd, even, what will it be win, you're heart might stop That nag looks good, bet a hundred smack on it's nose If he wins, its off to the ship an island to repose And if you lose? Ah, well, that's fate get back to work Make one more check, then what the heck your gamblin' you can't shirk Head for bright lights, your loot lay down pass not a dance Gamblin's in your blood, you hear me stud go now, take a chance! copyright2002 Brazos MasonThis is so much not a poem, but a story. Gamblin' is one of my bad habits........ Written March 5th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 04:26 PM PST, Brazos Mason   0 • 9
