Part V: The Entrance
By Brazos
Part V: The Entrance [The foolish oft tread where angels fear to go….alas, I fear I am one of those…] The door is open; I fear I must go in, For there is nothing but woe behind me. So I step forward, look into the dim, Hoping for a hint of my destiny. The threshold I cross, fearing no loss, But, still, tis so dim, no feature I see. Two steps more, I’ll see even more, And, WHOOM! The door closes behind me! No turning back now, the door is closed, But the closing comes with a surprise. For, what once was dark, is now exposed, This will not be easy, I realize. Though now I can see what confronts me, It is bigger than I had imagined. It’s the inside of a mountain, you see, Spacious, gracious, and bright light imaged. I take in the grandeur of it all, In the distance, I see a shelf on high. Someone dancing, having quite a ball, “Bzarradon!” I think, watch him spin by. So, now I know, where it is I must go, I must reach that shelf near the ceiling. I look at the floor, a way to go bro, It’s the entrance, a maze not appealing. The walls are made of the same black stone, “One way in, no way out”, or so I think. The way into the maze, is brightly shone, Through the opening I walk, or maybe slink. Yes, here I am, bathed in light, black walls surround, Facing a fountain, water flows aplenty. Drink the fountain, then go right or around, For once, a door didn’t close behind me. So which way to go, the right or the left, I have no way of knowing, or care. A golf tee I use, I found on a cleft, Flip it in the air, it will point where. The tee points right, so go there I might, Into the core and the heart of the maze. Hunting my foe, must get him in my sight, Blow him away for the rest of my days! [you know, this guy bzarradon is really starting to piss me off, whoever he is!]I wonder if I'm going to get this guy, Bzarradon, in the end; or if, he's going to get me! What do you think?
