The Birth Chant of the Macca
By Brazos
O, fertile man and fertile woman, what luck have we here To be with child is near an impossibility, but yet you are Each of you have been returned a favor From a time long ago Each of you must have led discouraging lives From a time long ago Each of you may have been demented From a time long ago Each of you are receiving repayment From a time long ago How else can the Macca explain this sudden blessing There was a time when near all were childless But yet, Annidoe bears child There was a time when near all were parentless But yet, you both will be parents There was a time when survival seemed hopeless But yet, you give hope of a survival There was a time when children were held in darkness But yet, your child will be raised in light Covet your child! It is tomorrow's leader! Covet your child! It is tomorrow's healer! Covet your child! It is tomorrow's protector! Covet your child! For it is the future......... I give you now the understanding of the Macca For, understanding you will need Child raising is often difficult, and hard to understand I give you now the sensitivity of the Macca Children are difficult, and it's often hard to be sensitive I give you now the patience of the Macca For you will need abundant patience in the years to come But, there is one thing I need not give you; that is love For, to love your child will be natural Rejoice! A new one is on the way! Rejoice! Your lives will forever be different! Rejoice! This birth further cements your marriage Rejoice! You have no further worlds to conquer There is nothing grander in life than the giving of life itself, And this you have done! Celebrate, and be kind to your enemies, for they are not so blessed. And remember; a child is molded by it's childhood; So be you kind and considerate to your child. To do other than that, is to put our very existence at risk! SO SAYS THE MACCA!!!!!!!
