A Plea to the Angered
September 13, 2001 A Plea to the Angered: Everyone needs to remember, now more than ever, that no one is invincible. That was proven two days ago, when our world ceased to exist. So stop pretending. We've all forgotten. I hear people talking about bombing other countries before we know who the enemy is. They're saying, “Nuke 'em.” But everyone has allies. We'll end up in nuclear winter. And then, we'll be wondering why. I say that we've all forgotten, because a severe blow was just made to the very fabric of this country, and we've been speaking of nuclear war. It's just been proven to all of us that we are in fact vulnerable, but we're blocking that out of our minds like nothing ever happened. Less than 48 hours and we've forgotten. Which means we've forgotten the thousands who have already died needless deaths. Don't make it millions. This is not a poem, I know. I wrote this at around 1:00 this morning when I couldn't sleep. This is a letter to all who are willing to listen. These are my thoughts. So please, do not comment to tell me that this isn't a poem. I know. But I thought this should be posted in memory of all the lost souls. Written September 13th, 2001 © on Sep 13 2001 06:30 AM PST 0 • 9
