He stares off into space At the life of the world to come. Swallowed by the deep end of life And waiting to be spit out. His soul is bitter, and so are his lies, For he has been abandoned. Forgotten and angry he sits alone With only the room and its air for company. Tears stream down his beautiful face, Yet another victim of quiet desperation. But as he looks around, There is a smile In his wet salty eyes. His cheeks brighten As he blinks And breathes And knows: This is enoughI'd like the last line to be in italics...
