There Is A Road Before Me
There is a long road before me, Some of which I have walked. I have traveled parts fast and others slowly, But the rest is yet to come. There is a winding road before me, A new adventure around each turn. Each curve presents a different mystery, Which I soon may solve. There is a hilly road before me, Great dips and gigantic highs. Occasionally the path will become icy, But I can always climb up. There is an imperfect road before me, Having its share of potholes and bumps. But so often it has unbelievable beauty, I wish to travel it forever. There is a lot of symbolism here--this whole poem is a metaphor.
