This Is What I Want (AP Assignment)
Freedom. To be able to walk outside, arms outstretched, yelling to the sky, without having to care what the neighbors think. To speak my mind and to express my thoughts, the whole while knowing my opinions will be respected. To let go now and then, forgetting all of my troubles, even if only for a few short moments. Love. For those who are nearest to my heart and accept me for who I am, instead of who they wish I would be. For people I cannot understand, because they have hopes, dreams, and fears just as I do. For all who I have yet to meet and care for, as they may become among the most important influences upon my life. Life. In its truest form, uninhibited by the negative, and every last drop experienced to the fullest. In non-stop excitement, no matter where I am, because this is the only chance I have to get this right. In pure intensity. Life should always be intense at any given time. Life buzzes, love sings, and freedom darts about the room. This is what I want: I want to step lightly and live freely. I want to dance with love in pure ecstacy. I want to milk life for all it's worth. This assignment had to be done by the end of February. I am a true procrastinator... But I have had reason. :-) Hope you all enjoy, although this is more prosaic than most of my writing. Written February 28th, 2002 © on Feb 28 2002 05:33 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
