Castles In The Sky
I'll tell you a story Of a faraway land Where we all live freely Without discipline or reprimand Let me lead you down To the land way up high Where happiness reigns In those castles in the sky. The grass grows tall and curled Up to a deep purple sky Where the flying birds all swim And the swimming fish all fly The clouds are for walking on Whilst the ground flies overhead Trees are easily stepped on And flowers tower above your head. There's always something to laugh about And never anything to hate Elephants always forget here And angels decide your fate Your head is for walking with Your legs tell you what to say Where today is tomorrow's yesterday And yesterday is tomorrow's today. In this place of endless dreams You can look forward to the past You can just dwell upon the present And forget your future fast The majestic Moon reigns the whole long day You can only see the sun at night People only sleep when they're awake And white is black whilst black is white. Where words are felt instead of spoken Sounds are seen instead of heard We start our lives in death Then end them in our birth Thoughts are caught floating in the air The air is a multi-coloured haze Where the people who've met you don't forget you And the world wanders round in a bleary-eyed daze. The sun revolves around the Earth Whilst the Earth orbits the Moon Everything is larger than life And evening's up by noon Everything that isn't, is There's no such thing as regret Everything you aren't, you are Everything you want, you get. Where true love is the rarest emotion So when you find it you never let go Then you spend your lifetime wishing You could tell him how you love him so Everyone lives for eternity Though sometimes eternity is consumed in a day But time doesn't even exist here So everything is always just a moment away. This is my story Of a faraway place Where we all live freely Taking life at our own pace Let me lead you down To the land way up high Where happiness reigns In those castles in the sky.
