Loosing a Bout with Life

Loosing a Bout with Life By Christopher Cooper As I wander though lifeless existence Waking though streets of despair I am a bout lacking emotion And a sea with waves that won’t share So I run to the curl of the pitied Finding sorrow that bears the weight of the time Every day is lost in the wind Sing out direction to the un-hearing mimes I ask my mother so to try to please I hate the correctly written word I tell my father so to try to explain It never says what I want to be heard So I join the misplaced rain washed amours Whose colors have run down their lost faces Remember what my mentor had told me In life the further you reach..... My arms are too short and the trigger too close...... Written August 18th, 2001 © on Aug 17 2001 04:40 PM PST 0 • 1
