' Big Girls Don't Cry ?'

By Channa

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It has been said Big girls don't cry and where am I to hide when the tears silently fall from all the cruel good-byes Should I cry inside smiling all the while hiding the hurt I feel inside? I am still a child somewhat tame, somewhat wild I can't always hide the pain I've tried in vain I don't really care who sees the scars I bear I have to be me, as you can see and can't be molded by society My eyes reflect my very soul Kept prisoner in the shadow SO..if you see me looking up the sky Don't say a word, don't pity me Quietly wrap your arms around me I want to be loved Not only from above Don't believe that lie Because...Big girls DO cry.
