The rain keeps on fallingnever ceasing, not abatingdrenching my soul deep within the shadowunder the moon less nightand this nubilous fogmaking the leaves darkshades of gray and blackslick beneath the dusky skyand myself clad in a white gownsoaked to my inner selfthe wind pierce me like glassthe casket forms an earthy bedthis too will passthinking to myself...why am I herealone in this eerie placeI see a human facea little childholding a single rosenear the casket she poseI cannot make out the namethis is insaneshe place that sweet flowerfrom the shadow I see hershe is one of my daughtersalone, no one beside herher face drenched with tearssoaks the coat that she wearscalling my name over'Mommy please tell mewhy did you leave meI need you more than everI love you Mommy'I put my arms around herAll I want is to hold hershe pulls away and shiverstoo darn cold she whispersconfusion touch my mindlike the fingers of the windbut for only an instantfor at this very momentI finally understandthe casket in this dark groundhold my flesh, I am boundto the loneliest placeI have ever facedand the rain keeps on fallingnever ceasing not abatingunder this moonless nightwith no warmth and with no light Written October 10th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 02:25 PM PST   18 • 0 • 1
