If I was a queen...

By Channa

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

If I was a queen from a distant land would I be wearing your wedding band? or a maiden so fair from the northern Shore would your heart to me, be an open door? If a grand castle was my domain would you kiss away my pain? and if at night I roamed the marble hall would your hold me so I wouldn't fall? If I was a princess so fair with wild flowers in my hair would you shower me with love and take me to your sea shore cove? would you kiss away my tears and like magic, chase away my fears? would you hold me tender and tight in your arms all thru the night would you make sweet love to me and cover me with your body? But...I am just an ordinary girl and insults at me, your hurl take a good look into my eyes see the wounded heart that cries I have no crown of jewel upon my head I wear the crown of womanhood instead you've torn away a part of me Yet my soul, forever is free!
