Outer Shell
By Channa
The outer shell that houses my soul is quite pretty I've been told I care for it each day polishing it nicely I must say everyone notice the outer me where my spirit is not quite free but if you look into my eyes the tears cannot be denied The outer shell do not portrait the hurt, the pain and the hate I have carried all these years when you left, you brought in new fears the outer shell can wear a smile while the inner keeps a secret file of all the wrongs that you have done my life without you has gone on I have to care for the inner me I need to get down on my knees I want to ask for forgiveness and take away the bitterness.
