I can feel his evil gray eminence from not so far a distance now I am able to fully see the grotesque form of my enemy crouching like a gargoyle in the corner his eyes color of red hot amber he is motionless, studying me his prey I am sure to be he has come to claim my soul years of sins has taken their toll a single prayers I cannot utter still...I must fight and not surrender. The flapping of his leathering wings send a frozen chill to my inner being but I know that my mind to him is not yet bind An unspeakable terror has seize me I cannot give in  to the enemy with a last effort in my part to the King, I now give my heart Another presence is drawing nigh with a radiant light from on high swords appear out of nowhere thundering clashes fills the air a bright angel and a dark one spar the bright one calls on the Morning Star to bring healing in His wing for me, a mere human being. My mortal foe is defeated thick gray smoke has dissipated the angel wings bellow over me envelopping me, forming a healing canopy His words in my soul are etched I'm no longer a sinner, a wretch all my past has been forgiven when to the King, my heart was given.Idea for this piece, was taken from the book "This present darkness", writer Frank Perretti.
