I can't wait to grow up and be free No school, no chores, I've got to be me Momma, are we your slave? and now you've asked us to behave! you think you are the bureau of labor? we have to clean our room and change the cat's liter! As I listen to their grumble and complaints I can't help in disbelief but only shake my head "My little ones, if you only knew as your mother, what I had to do! Wake up at 6 AM and make you breakfast so you could learn, knowledge has to last off to school you go, I do some cleaning morning dishes, laundry and some vacumming then off to work, we have bills to pay now, to deal with the boss, each and everday investigating for our small town lawyers come home at lunch, put clothes in the dryer the afternoon is very much the same at five I get you from afterschool program make dinner, clean the stove, the counter wash more dishes, sit an hour on the computer Sit with you and watch telivision get your bath ready, to relax your tension off to bed you go, a prayer we will say Asking for G-d to bless us, each and everyday" So cherubs of mine, I would glady take the baton from your hand, a trade I would make see my little ones, don't try to grow up too fast live carefreely but don't live for the past, Learn to be responsible members of society Don't grumble and please, do your shores TODAY!
