George and the Essex Girl
By Citrus
Old George loved the Essex Girls, from Suffolk he did be, He liked to watch them on the beach, at Clacton upon Sea. "What are you like boy" his mother asked, "These girls are not for you", A suffolk lass is much more fun and will be faithful too! Now locals say that Suffolk skies, go on and on forever and Old George knew a thing or two though few would call him clever. But then one night, a rapping came upon the farm house door, and there stood the Essex girl he had seen on Clacton shore. "You said to call if I was near" She stood there bold as brass. His mother frowned and said he`d never hear, that from a Suffolk lass. "I love you boy, now lets get wed, His mother served the tea, "now dont go rushing young George" she said He`s only seventy three. Now some say Suffolk folk are shy, some say they are rather slow, But old George wed his Essex girl and now has eight in tow! Written March 7th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 03:29 AM PST 0 • 7
