Where?

By Clean Serene

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Where have you been? Down below? Under the divine shine within my eye? Asleep next to the brethren clouds, Dreaming a fantasy so far away? Where did you go? Beyond the meadow to my mother's presage? Digging deeper, into the dark soil in which my father lies? Where will you be? Somewhere you can breathe and fill your need to be alone and leave? Why did you go? You left me here. I'll follow  your journey, Under that bridge. My footsteps weak, I can barely breathe. I lost you and I lost my way. You left me there and I passed away. Goodbye to the divine shine within my eyes. And the color kissed clouds of my mother's presage. I lye next to my innocence, Drowning in faith. I asked myself why I was chosen to leave. And he solemnly answered, "You chose not to believe."
