One More Poem for You...

By colleen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I miss the feeling of being 'your girl.' The only one who could tame The wild butterfly Without her fighting through the net For freedom. You held the net with such grace And gently pulled her majestic wings apart, It was painless Until that day you let my wings go. I miss that feeling Of you always being there And my wings being free to spread Far across the sun-lit sky Without the fear they'd Be torn apart By viscous, careless hands.
