Paradise

By colleen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I had a dream of paradise last night We lounged on the beach all day. We were all dressed liked hippies, Even you. You gave up your thuggish ways For a tie-dye shirt And some birkenstocks And some sugary kisses From a long- lost- love. Money wasn't an issue And I knew I'd never have to worry about missing you Because in my bed you'll lie every night As our bodies move together With the steady beat of the ocean. With each crash to the shore I feel you in me more and more. And your body is my blanket, And your kisses heal my pain As we lie together in paradise. This really was a dream i had last night.
