So Many Kisses

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I kissed a boy the other dayHis tongue felt nice inside my mouthAnd I liked to feel his hands on my bodyBut I quickly grew bored of him and his kisses.I sent him on his wayI don't even remember his name.I met a boy a month ago or soWho told meI was the world to him,He said he'd buy me all the stars if I asked,And he came close.Expensive jewelry, all shiny and glitteringSomehow it appeared fake on my body.I had to give it back before anyone got the wrong idea. And I met this other boy, once,Who made me the envy of all the girlsEveryone wanted him for their ownBut he seemed to want me.We danced and laughed and kissed togetherUntil I realized that there was nothing more to himThan a friendly face and a good throwing arm. Then, this other time,I met this boyHe was the cutest and sweetest a girl could ever imagineHe made me laugh in a wayNo other boy could. And we kissed; Then we kissed againIt felt so rightMe in his arms, his lips on mine, That was the way things were meant to be.But sadly enoughThey just couldn't stay that way foreverThe perfection and happiness we onceFound in each otherQuickly fadedAs we realized our own fears,Knowing that nothing lasts foreverAmd that happy feeling did one day have to end.I wrote this about 3 years ago, I wish i could say it still isnt true...
