Someday
By colleen
Someday I'll marry a nice guy Who won't make me cry And won't ever lie And can break through this hard shell That's only been slightly cracked once. Someday. Someday I'll have a family And a white picket fence, I may even drive a mini-van To soccer practices and girl scout meetings; Bake sales and Church groups. I'll have cute children With names like Katie and Michael. Someday. Someday I'll give up the parties And staying out late I'll wake up before noon everyday, Even Saturday. I'll find a man to call my own And say 'good-bye' To my nameless lovers. Someday. Someday I'll live out my dreams In a large house In a fancy neighborhood With gates and security patrol. I'll have a beautiful garden in the backyard Where I'll spend my Sundays, With Roses and Tulips And a small fountain And a barbecue for entertaining on hot summer nights While the children swim in our pool With the neighborhood kids.
