What Might Have Been

By colleen

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sometimes I wonder if I would be happier Just being your wife. Staying at home with the kids, A hot meal waiting for you After a long day at work You'd greet me with a smile And flowers every evening. And each morning I would Be able to thank God For allowing me to be lucky enough To be able to spend my life With my soul mate. But I guess I may never know Since I left before I got to say, 'I love you.' Written October 23rd, 2001 © on Oct 23 2001 02:35 PM PST   18 • 0 • 8
