What We Could Have Been
By colleen
We could have been so perfect together. We could have had a loveThat Romeo and Juliet, the most classic lovers,Would have envied. We could of held each other forever.Through the first coldness of fall,Through the snowstorms of winter,And the rains of spring,And through the warm months of summerWhen the sun would sneak through the shades,Blinding us with early morning lightAs our bodies lay together. We could have been so perfect,With the 'I love you's,'The silly fights,And the heart- felt make- up's.If fear hadn't been More powerful than our young loveWe could be here together right now.But I guess we will never know.Yeah, I know it's sad, but I need to let these feelings out somehow.
