My One Friend
By Cope
I arrived here, Scared and alone. Just one person, In a city of a million strangers. Lost here, Left with no one. Then she came, As if an angel from above. She took me into her home, And treated me like family. This doesn't seem like much, To those unexperienced, Moving away from everything, To everything crazy and new. Suddenly you are twelve again, Not knowing what is new. She guided me when I needed it, Kept me out of great harm. She has been a true friend. Her life of crazy happening, Yet, the spirit remains strong. I hope for the best for her, Tell her to remain strong. Just know that what you have done, I could never repay. Normality, believe it or not, In sin city, She brings me there. If she ever needs anything, Know I will be there. I'll do what I can, To show her I care. Thank you for being there, When no one else was around, A great friend, I have truly found. Written February 26th, 2002 © on Feb 26 2002 06:14 AM PST 0 • 12
