A Candle Within
By DayDreamer
The candle inside me is starting to dim,And I don't receive help from it, her, or him.The people around me make the flickering light. But still, those same people can make it not so bright.I think it would help if another light grewRight in my heart, where the other light flew. This light, it would seem, would belong to another.A girl that I loved, not a sister or mother.I wish that the light would ignite quick!Soon all my candle will be is a wick! The wax from the flame has damaged my heart.I believe that very soon, I will fall apart. No love is too much for my heart to handle,So please hurry quick, and relight my candle!I enjoy this poem.
