Flood of Thoughts

By DayDreamer

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Like the rain drops on a window, My thoughts just come and go. Like the rain from clouds above, My thoughts, like hail, they flow. Like a flood rolls down the street, Mem'ries rape my mind. Like the ice from blackened clouds, My thoughts are of those kind. Stops the rain, quiets the thunder, The lighting is put to bed. But none can stop, with light nor noise, The thoughts that flood my head.Rain, wind, thunder, and lighting make PERFECT weather for spilling out a poem.
