Summer Sun
By debbie
Basking boldly the sun in the vast sky incandescently rediscovering hot beams aiming with confidence at targets in distant sight; bouncing fiercly off mica rocks and blinding. Dry, brown dirt heated and decorated scantily with dandelions half clothed and wilted daisies from heat's brutal beating. Hours of pounding quiet fire on bare, open pavement forbidding any movement across; sweltering, rising with shimmering blur playing eye tricks on my mind. The sun drawn to the rhythm of a vulnerable earth steadily circling waiting for relief lest it might not live.any comments on content and form would help........thanks, debbie Written March 22nd, 2002 © on Mar 22 2002 05:41 AM PST 0 • 10
