Helping She
By deviousgirl
There's this face that you see in the night The face is lonely and so cold. As you gaze closer - you begin to see all there is to "She." She once had hair that was up high- but now it covers her desperate face. She had this glow in her skin, healthy, beautiful, and alive. Now it's pale and covered. She has these lips- full and pout. Now they frown for they only know upside down. She had these illustrious eyes, they sparkled like diamonds, they were her silent laugh. They gave out her warmth, all She had to do was look your way. Her eyes took the chill from your bones. They always displayed such a thrill. Now only tears fill her eyes, they are vacant of warmth, and lack life. You don't look her way, it's best to stay away. She'll break your heart with a glance. Careful, for silence is the best. She does things that make her bleed- in hopes that she'll succeed. She doesn't know anything of love, destined to be alone. People walk in and out- she loves no one because she doesn't know how. She feels neglected, wonder why? She stands before you- what a plight! She doesn't know how to stop. She wants to be normal, but it's only a thought. She wants not to cry, but inside she wants to die. No reason to live, no one to love. Had so much and now it's gone. She was once happy, and full of life. Energetic, but now it's just pathetic. A soul is crying, but no one seems to care. She looks back unto thee, and now all she sees is me! I want to help her, but I don't know how. I want her to live, but am without a reason. She looks up, and for a second- You remember what She was. You remember how She used to look. You remember, not a single tear in her eye. You remember a laugh that melted your heart. You remember a life rich in meaning. One that wasn't bleeding. She's looking at you- awaiting help. But you can't help for you are She.This poem reflects back to the time when people very close to me saw a change in how I acted. They told me of what I became, and what I was now. That's where some of the lines come from. Written October 19th, 2001 © on Nov 12 2001 12:56 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
